Virechana Therapy

A scientifically structured purgation therapy designed to eliminate accumulated toxins (Ama) and excess Pitta from the body.

Virechana Therapy – Classical Ayurvedic Detox for Pitta Disorders

Virechana Therapy is a structured Ayurvedic detoxification procedure aimed at eliminating excess Pitta Dosha and deep-seated toxins from the liver, blood, and gastrointestinal tract. At Panchakarma Guru, this therapy is conducted under the expert supervision of MD (Ayu.) Dr. Shivram Sinwar using classical protocols combined with modern clinical hygiene standards. Virechana supports liver detox, skin purification, hormonal balance, and inflammatory disorder management through controlled therapeutic purgation.

WHAT IS VIRECHANA THERAPY?

Virechana is one of the five principal Panchakarma detox therapies described in classical Ayurvedic texts such as Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya.

It is a controlled purgation therapy designed to expel aggravated Pitta Dosha from its primary seat — the small intestine — and eliminate accumulated toxins (Ama) through the lower gastrointestinal tract.

This allows us to identify the root cause instead of only suppressing symptoms. Unlike modern symptomatic management, our approach is personalized and constitution-specific.

When Pitta becomes excessive due to diet, stress, lifestyle, or environmental factors, it leads to inflammation, skin diseases, acidity, liver dysfunction, and hormonal disturbances.
